Being A Digital Artist

I was so excited to jump into digital art and have a whole new medium to learn. It’s mess free, great on the go, and there is just so much I love about it. I didn’t realize until more recently though that there are some negative views of the medium. Having people assume I just photoshoped a photograph or drew over a picture was surprising to me. Like any other medium, it has its own learning curve, is a set of tools to use to get to an end product, and can’t be mastered by taking short cuts. I ended up making a process video of a cattle dog eye so that people could see I drew by hand just as I would if I was using a traditional medium. I recently made another video of my pet portrait of a cat named Gidget, which I will share below. I hope this video answers any questions about digital painting. If not, feel free to send me a message and I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have!
